How to Introduce Your Work
Are you an author?
One of our goals at Ernest & Hadley is to showcase works by local, independent publishers, authors and artists, but you don't necessarily have to be local to submit your work for consideration.
If you have a title that you would like us to carry, we will need to see an Advanced Reader Copy or final copy, along with a tip sheet, if available.

Our space is limited and our shelves are organized by theme rather than genre. We carefully consider each submission, whether or not the book is “shelf-ready” and also fits with our collection. If your books are not available through our major distributors or, if you would prefer that we order directly from you, our policy is to establish consignment with an agreed upon stock time-frame and percentage split.
Once you have completed the minimum requirements (see above), we will contact you within two weeks to let you know our decision, regardless.
Book signings are arranged by our staff and are contingent upon the relevancy of the book to the Tuscaloosa community. Each book and author are carefully considered, but here are a couple things to be aware of:
We prefer to schedule at least two months in advance to allow enough time for our purchasing/marketing/scheduling team to do their thing.
We prefer to hold book signings within the first six months of the release date.
You get out of it what you put in. Help us spread the word about your event by telling everyone you know!
